The Beginning of the End

And another chapter in our lives is just about finished.

My youngest has just had her first two English HSC exams.  She's handled herself amazingly calmly and I'm sure we'll all be pleased when the HSC is over - bring on 4/11/13!!!!

I think the build up to the exams is worse than the actual exams.  I'm glad English is out of the way - 2 x 2 hour exams, with lots of essay writing.  Now just to get through Dance, Maths, Religion and Biology.

Where oh where did the years go???  This gorgeous little blondie is now a beautiful, caring young woman.

We've now entered week 10 of the 12 week program and I'm cruising along quite nicely.  Not as much weight loss as I'd like, but my fitness is certainly improving.  I've los 5kg so far and last round I lost 5kg.  Some people may sneeze at 5kg in 12 weeks, but geez 2 x 5 = 10, yes folk, 10kgs that I have worked off.  Would you sneeze at 10kg???

The last two Saturdays Garry has come running with me on my long run.  Both days I've been able to run 10km and have felt really good about it mentally.

Not sure how I feel mentally about Garry and his running.  In fact his running really pisses me off.  I've trained my ass off - literally to be able to run 10kms.  He can run 10kms every 2 or 3 months and pulls up just fine and runs it in about an hour.  The last two Saturdays, no problem with him running with me and leaving me about the 8km mark to run faster - bloody men!!!

And while I'm whinging about Garry.  He's so forgetful, unbelievably forgetful!!!

Sunday afternoon I registered us for a 10km race and let him know, even got the registration email sent to his work email address.  Today he tells me that he signed up for a 27km bridge walk with a workmate!!!!!  UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

So if anyone wants to run with me, or just run 10km, feel free to contact me.

Until next week amigos ...................

  1. Oh my gosh Sue, there was a story in I think it was last month's Runners World about a husband and wife running together. It was so funny about the differences between men and women when running together. Did you happen to see it. This just reminded me of it. Men + forgetful, aaaah yep.
