Round 3 Finale - Adelaide

WOW!!!!

Another amazing finale!!!!  It's definitely a necessity to attend a finale.  It's a great end to a round and makes that transition to the next round very clear - a new round is beginning.  It inspires, motivates and encourages you to be clean and training hard for the next 12 weeks.

Adelaide - you were amazing.  Loved the weather, loved the venues, loved the company.

I met an amazing bunch of women #D30s.  It was so nice to meet people in real life.

Saturday morning, 3 of us keen runners participated in the Torrens Parkrun, a 5km timed run event.  I'm so thrilled with my times.  They've been decreasing every time which makes me feel good, because sometimes we get in a rut where we don't feel like our fitness is improving.

After our run, a yummy breakfast was enjoyed with the lovely Donna and husbands.  It was then time to head to the group workout.   OOOHHH  I haven't told you yet.  I received an email from Larah (12wbt support crew) asking if I'd like to be interviewed by Joady for a youtube clip about my success on the program.  Of course I said yes - what an honour!!!

It took a bit of organising as Joady was so busy, but we finally agreed on 6.30pm when I'd be made up and ready for the finale party.

The workout was great, got the heart rate up and lots of cardio!!!  So great to have a motivator like Michelle Bridges leading the workout.  She's such an amazing woman!!!

I'm sorry Adelaide, the only negative was trying to find lunch on a Saturday afternoon :(  Most restaurants had a lunch service time from 11.30 - 2.30, then closed for dinner.  We struggled to find something open for a late lunch at 3.  We did find a pizza place and shared a pizza.  Just what was needed to replenish some energy and last until the evening.

I treated myself to another makeover.  Definitely a necessity for me.  Being such a tomboy and not great with make up and hair, the makeover certainly makes you feel like the belle of the ball.  Another great job by De Ross Artistry.

At 6.30 I had my much anticipated interview.  Joady was great.  I think I went ok, now to just wait and see what appears on youtube.

Finale party was not a late night, with all the exercise in the morning, my body was aching, my feet were killing me.  It was time for the oldies to have a good night sleep.  And didn't we feel old when we woke up in the morning :(  But that feeling goes away and you realise it's good pain.

Sunday morning was a brunch with the #D30 girls at a pancake restaurant.  Very interesting manager????  It was nice to catch up with the ladies over breakfast, say our good byes and leave knowing I'd made more friends, friends that have my back.

On Sunday hubby and I had a few spare hours before we had to fly home.  We headed to Rundle Mall and discovered Myer .................. hhhmmm it became a Pretty Woman moment.  I decided to try on about 10 different dresses, all designer labels, with the cheapest being about $160.  It was amazing to try on dresses - lots of different colours, lots of different styles and all in a size 14!!!!!  I did splurge and buy one, that at the check out was reduced by 30%.  My other favourite dress was a green Review dress, but at $260 too expensive for me.  I know the style name (Olympia) and will keep a look out for it on sale.

Such a good feeling to be able to zip up size 14 dresses easily.

Next goal - to get into a size 14 jeans!!!!  and if possible ............... a size 12 dress.

Is it possible, yes it's possible.

Time to eat clean, train hard and follow the program - it works!!!!
