WOW!!!! WOW!!!!
Melbourne was amazing!!!! Such a great weekend, certainly did it's job - made me appreciate the work I've already done and fired me up for Round 2, 2013.
Saturday was amazing - lots of walking and a huge Michelle Bridges group workout at Albert Park. Then lots of walking back to DFO and walking back to the hotel, worked out it was about 10kms.
We then had about an hour break (nana nap), shower and get dressed for my make up and hair appointment at 5pm. I was super excited as this was the first time I've had a hair and make up make over. I arrived at Crowne at 5 for my appointment to discover that my appointment was at 4.20 - woops!!! Thankfully the girls were lovely and accomodated me. It was so much fun, hair, make up and bubbly and I felt so special.
The results weren't too bad either.
The night rocked, lots of yummy food, good music and fun with friends. But boy oh boy did my feet hurt by the end of the night and the next morning the balls of my feet were so sore.
Sunday morning was a bit sore, with hubby declaring he needed a walking frame. We then had a lovely brunch in Melbourne with some facebook friends - I do love the Melbourne cafe culture.
After more walking, we then jumped on a tram and headed up to Carlton, where we visited the famous Lygon St, food lovers dream!!! So many restaurants, with little Italian men spruiking their restaurants. About 3pm we had a very yummy Italian meal followed by gelato.
So, all in all Melbourne was a food lovers dream and I loved the whole weekend.
Round 2, 2013 starts on Monday. I've had a bit of a 'holiday' with my food and exercise this week, but am looking forward to starting the new round.
Another first ............. Sunday is Mothers Day and the first time I won't have one of my children to spend the day with me :( But I will also be getting up nice and early and participating in my first ever fun run - Mothers Day Classic around Parramatta Park, 4km.
Enjoy the MDC Sue! Have a great run.
