Inspiration and motivation

This week has been a week of soul searching and getting myself into the right mindset.

I had a successful weigh in today - loss of 1.5kg, so a total of 16.2 kg.  Very very happy as today was a huge mileston.

Last week I booked a long weekend for the finale in Melbourne.  I loved expedia, the deals you can get are great.  Three nights accom, including airfares for less than $600.  I've decided we'll fly down on the Friday and fly back Monday morning.  That way hubby and I get to enjoy a couple of days of dinners, shopping and maybe a massage.

I decided I needed to go to finale to feel like I'm completing a round.  It will also give me motivation for the next upcoming round instead of just rolling over and feeling a bit flat.

My lovely SSS training buddy bought me a gift from the Brisbane finale and I'm wearing it with pride and keep looking at the four letters .............. JFDI

My lovely training buddy, Molly also suggested this week that we register for the Mothers Day Fun Run - 4km.  It will give us something to aim for as well as increase our fitness.  It's around Parramatta Park, which is quite hilly, but I'm prepared to give it a go.

Michelle Bridge's is a very clever lady!!!  She has a 12 week program, so you know it has a beginning and an end and it is an achievable time frame.  For me being a non-runner and declaring that quite regularly, I'm now learning to run and quite enjoying it.  It's not easy, but it kinda sneaks up on you, another little Michelle Bridge's trick.

This idea of a fun run has given me motivation to train properly, to follow the c2k running program.  I decided this week to get up at 5am on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday to partake in the running program.

I'm not a morning person - it's incredibly hard for me to get up at that ridiculous hour but I've done it this week!!!! It means my exercise is done for the day, hopefully it burns more calories and increases my metabolism as I'm exercising prior to eating.  It also means I'm able to relax about exercise in the evenings and have dinner at a decent time.

Look how dark it is at 5.15am :(  Lucky I have my furry friend to train with me.

So, this has been my 12wbt week.

On a personal note, my lovely youngest passed her driving test and received her P's last week - yay.  No more having to drop off and pick up at ridiculous hours!!!

Miss 20 year old who is loving Irish life is planning lots of weekend trips and the uni lifestyle in Limerick.

Mr 19 year old, is back at work, busy landscaping and is keeping busy with a cash job on the weekends.
