Last weekend I got to spend the whole weekend with my gorgeous sister. This may not sound like much, but she likes about 900km away so we don't get to see much of each other. I do love her and thoroughly enjoyed the laid back weekend. It was nice for us to just have some quiet adult time, no huge expectations.
I'm incredibly proud of my sister. She's spent the last three years studying nursing and through all the hard work and effort and amazing interview skills she has succeeded in securing a grad position at Gold Coast Hospital .................... well done chicky xxxx
The Bad
I have not run for a week :(
These are my best friend at the moment;
I've had nearly 12 months of no illness but last Sunday I woke up with razor blades in my throat and the head cold from hell.
My nose now looks like Rudolph's and feels like sandpaper.
I'm sad, very sad. I haven't been able to run, barely able to walk around the block. Exercise has become so much of my life that I feel so bluh for not exercising for the week.
Got some stronger drugs today, Sudafed, so fingers crossed my head will start to clear up again.
The Good
I have a friend who I worked night shift with for many years. Many years while our children were babies up until they were adults. We shared a lot through those years and she is the loveliest of ladies. We try to catch up a couple of times a year, time flies and there's no hard feelings about gaps in time. We're both proud of our children, who are all making great choices as they become adults. Proud mum moments :)
This lady understands my weight loss journey and it was nice to spend time with her, incorporating a walk which turned into a bushwalk and some brunch and coffee at the end. The best way to talk is to walk!!!
Unbelievable to enjoy this scenery knowing it's in the middle of a very built up part of Sydney. Truly a hidden gem. I'll definitely be back.
It's been a mixed week Sue! Congratulations to your sister for landing herself a graduate position! She must be very excited.
ReplyDeleteHoping you can kick that cold to the curb soon and resume normal transmission!
Sue I do hope you feel better soon, as it can knock you for a six. Mind you, remember to crawl before you run! You may think you are better but not quite and relapse. So says me who knows nothing about medicine, but I've seen it time and time again. What a gorgeous part of Sydney, are you kidding? A hidden oasis I'm thinking.
