First parkrun = husband fail

Week 4 of the 12wbt and it's mini milestone week as well as measurement time.

I was getting a tad despondant that my weight loss wasn't as significant as the first two rounds.  But I stepped back, measured myself and took stock;

In 4 weeks I've lost 2.6kg, not too bad when the average recommendation is 0.5 to 1kg a week.

Measurements were surprisingly pleasing - lost 11cm in the first 4 weeks.  Lost 5cm off my hips, 3cm off my waist and 3cm off my thighs.

Today my SSS buddy and I decided to participate in a 5km Parkrun at Parramatta.  Husband decided to come along and run as well.  He's a better runner than us, so when he passed us on the way back, buddy and I yelled out to him to take a photo of us as we cross the finish line.

Big sad face as we came up to the finish line, said husband was happily clapping for us, but no phone in his hands to take a photo.  He has apologised quite a number of times today for not taking a photo of us.

I had made a goal of 7km/h for my running today and SSS buddy and myself ran together.  We both crossed the finish line in 34.08 - happy to have finished and happy to have not been last.

Now I have a time, I'd like to run again and I'd like to improve my time.  Next time I might have to run harder and challenge myself, which means leaving my buddy.  It would be interesting to not have a someone setting the pace next to me.
