It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas

Such an exciting time of the year!!!  3 more sleeps and it's Christmas Day ............. I love Christmas!!!  It's always been a special time of the year for my family.  It's been special because we have no family in Sydney so I've worked hard for the children to enjoy the day.  The 'children' who are now 21, 20 and 17 still love their Christmas stockings.

Tomorrow morning at 7.30am we're off to Malaysia for a family holiday - 6 days in Penang and 6 days in Kuala Lumpur and yep I'm excited.  Hubby is 50 early March, so I decided to surprise him for an early birthday present and incorporate Christmas.

I'm looking forward to the culture, the food and also to get out and run!!!

Today I took my fur babies up to my lovely friends 12 acres and she's going to babysit them.  My Jakey is my baby and I'm missing him, but I know he's going to love it up here.  Within 5 minutes of arriving he'd found his way into the dam and then found some horse poo to roll in.  Yep, the city slicker dog loves the farm.

Now, onto running.  Yes, I've been running.  I've registered to do a 12 week program where on the weekend of 7 -10 March I'll be running a marathon.  Three days of 10km runs then one day of 12.95.  I need something to set as a goal and what better than to run a marathon over a weekend.  It's probably the closest I'll get to running a marathon.

On Saturday Garry and I went out to the Regatta Centre where we met a few ladies from Run Club who were running.  There were all different speeds and distances being run.  I was content to do my 10km.  It was a nice flat course and a different venue but Friday night had been a hot, balmy night with very little sleep happening.  I nearly didn't go because of the lack of sleep, but at the end I was pleased I went.  Met some lovely people, ran my 10km - no pb (1hr 10 min), just a HHR (hot, hard run), but glad that I went out and did it.

I wish everyone a very Merry Xmas and that you all enjoy your time with your family.

I will be running in Malaysia and will take some pics to prove it :)
