Endings

It's been a while since I've posted.  Not to worry I've haven't been MIA.

Lots has happened in the past few weeks and I'm still smiling.

My gorgeous backpacker is back home, safe and sound.  It feels so good to have my family complete again.  It doesn't matter how old they are, they're still your babies.

Round 2, 2012 of the 12wbt has come to an end.  Successful???  Maybe, maybe not.  It wasn't a complete failure, just not as much weight loss as I'd hoped for.  But honestly, it's winter and I wasn't putting in 100%, especially with the exercise.  But it's nice to know that in the middle of winter I can still lose.

Bring on Spring and Summer!!!    Michelle has announced the next finale is in Sydney - YEAH!!!!  What more inspiration do I need to lose the last 7.3kg.

Stats for this round;

Lost 5kg
Lost 16cm
Before and after photos (undies shots, that I won't be sharing on here) show a lot more toning in the legs and tummy area.

Achievements - in May, Molly and I ran our first fun run, 4km Mothers Day Classic.  I remember telling her that 5km will be my limit with running.

Well, I must've forgotten saying that because 2 weeks ago I ran 9km!!!

Tomorrow 4/5 of the Devlin's and my running buddy Molly are running in a 7km fun run - wooooo!!!  bayrun

and yes, I've signed up for Round 3, 2013!!

It's funny I'm getting heaps of compliments from work colleagues about how much I've lost.  But if they only knew that when I got married I was 21kg less than I am now and thought I needed to lose weight!!! Oh how I wish I was a bit wiser as a young 24 year old.

Until next time .................... onwards and upwards ...............

  1. Great upbeat blog Sue. Love the focussing on the achievements and the confidence that you have in being able to tackle any goals you have left.
    I remember talking to you on the D30s WAY BACK when you still weren't sure your knee would carry you. I felt a little uncomfortable when I encouraged you and said I thought you could do it!
    Now here you are, closing in on your goal weight and able to run 9kms! It's easy to look at the results, but I know about your courage and the 'pain' that you must have felt along the way! You pushed through, stuck to your plan, and here you are.
    Respect :)
