Day 1, Round 1, 2013

Round 4, 2012 finished yesterday, and Round 1, 2013 begins today.

I have a few differing emotions going through my head at the moment, will elaborate shortly.

Had a lovely surprise today, my new Polar hrm watch arrived in the post - just in time.  This was my reward for a successful first round - completing it and succeeding beyond expectations.

For those of you who know me, I'm a bit of a numbers nut, bordering on obsessive in many ways with numbers.  This hrm is going to become my new best friend as I will be able to track not only my heart rate but also calories burned.

Tonight I continued on my running program;

warm up walk 3 mins
run 5 mins
walk 2 mins
run 4 mins (big, long hill)
walk 2 mins,
run 6 mins
walk 2 mins
run 2 mins -the last little bit to home.

I then completed the ab exercises, ice skaters and sumo squats - and burned 235 cals.  Thought I'd burn more, so will have to up the exercise.  I give my workouts 100%, sweating like crazy after my run/walk.

Now for my negative thoughts running through my brain.  I haven't tried many weight loss programs over the years, but have a couple of times lost a reasonable amount of weight, then put it all on.

My worry for this round is that because I've done well Round 4, 2012, I'll become complacent and not treat this program with the respect it and my body deserves.  I guess thinking positively it's good that I can see this is a challenge with my mindset, so I now have to work on it, so it doesn't happen.

With my watch today, Michelle included a photo of herself with an inspirational quote on it; ' Train hard, eat clean, and be the best version of yourself'.  This photo will be put on my fridge and Michelle can remind me daily what I'm capable of.
